NAGVA Scorekeeping & Referee Exam Information

Jul 15, 2014

NAGVA is working diligently to update the Referee and Scorer Exam to reflect the new adopted rules from USA Volleyball DCR 2014. This update will be completed with the roll out of our new website in October. In the interim, NAGVA is allowing players to take the exam "as is" online so certifications can still occur and satisfy tournament/team requirements. After players pass the R1 Exam, please notify Jonathan Daclison, VP of Officials via email (officials@nagva.org) and he will send you rules changes that are in effect for this season, specifically pertaining to: R1 - Center line violation - Libero Re-designation - Sanction (Red vs. Yellow) Cards Note: After passing the referee exam, players still need to be rated on the stand as a "practical" at a NAGVA sanctioned tournament and upon passing, the NAGVA database will be updated to illustrate season certification. Scorekeeping - NAGVA Score exam: once you pass the online exam, this will automatically update the NAGVA Database - NAGVA will continue to allow the previous season score sheet and will enforce the new form once the exam is uploaded to the new NAGVA Website - If you want to prepare and learn the new score sheet, please use this link; https://www.volleyballreftraining.com/training_materials_junior.php then select "Scorers Clinic" and a pop-up will appear, please select "Play Material" and a video voice-over tutorial will launch.
